5th Grade Breakfast/Moving UP
Chair:   4th Grade Class Parents

Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve the PTO sponsored breakfast that our 5th grade students enjoy prior to their moving up ceremony.

5th Grade Social
Chair:   Wendy Nelius

Fun filled theme night sponsored by the ASPTO.  Our 5th graders have an opportunity to spend the evening with their friends.  They receive their yearbooks, play games, eat and socialize. 

Volunteers are needed to prepare and to chaperone at the event.

Art Show
Chair:   Alana Bieniasz & Noelle Henkel

The Art Show is a beautiful display of all of our Students' artwork from throughout the year. 

The committee works to display the artwork in the school in preparation for the show.

Volunteers are needed in the months leading up to the show.  Times are flexible so any help you can give is wonderful..

Baked goods needed throughout the year.  The chair of each event will contact you to see if you are available to bake for each event.

Bells and Whistles Fundraising

Description:   This committee is responsible for tracking the sales of the Paperless PTO Bells and Whistles fundraising program.
Book Fair

There are 3 book fairs throughout the year.  October, February and our Buy One Get One BOGO book fair June.

You may sign up for the book fair committee once and the Chairperson will contact you once the class schedule for the fairs is submitted so you may volunteer when your child is shopping!!

Box Tops For Education

Save, collect, organize and submit box tops.

Community Service
Chair:   Tracy Healey

The Applegate Community "Gives Back" every month. Tracy Healey and her committee will work with the staff on a monthly fundraiser that gets students and staff involved in donating to various causes throughout the year. It's an amazing opportunity to encourage our children to recognize others in need and a great opportunity to feel the rewards of giving. Volunteer for community events and Tracy will contact you with the opportunities to help out!! 



Eco Initiative

Enrichment Sessions are Mondays or Wednesdays for 4 Classes.

One Make up class is scheduled for each session in the event of a cancellation.

You may volunteer for Enrichment... The Chairperson will contact you and you may give your requests for which specific class.

Family Fun Nights

Variety of fun activities planned by the ASPTO designed to bring students and families together.

Volunteers will be needed for these events.  You may sign up for the committee once and the chair will contact you to see if you are available for the specific date and event!!

Fundraisers - Miscellaneous

ASPTO organizes various fundraisers throuhout the year.  We will be selling Yankee Candles, Gertrude Hawke Chocolates, gift cards, etc.  Please support when you can.

Gaga Tournament
Chair:   ASPTO

One of the many Family Fun Nights sponsored by the ASPTO.  These events are not organized to raise money but rather to promote family fun time.

Gift Card Challenge Fundraiser

Golf Outing

Applegate's Annual Golf Outing.  A great fundraiser for Applegate School. Play a round of golf or come for the dinner... a fun day for all.

Sponsors are neeed.  Please ask friends and family and local businesses if they would like to sponsor a hole or a foursome... plenty of packages available.

Halloween Trunk Or Treat

A great Applegate Family Night.  You must register in advance for this event.  Decorate your trunk or just come and enjoy the decorations.

Volunteers are needed to help out at this fun filled event.

Holiday Shoppe

The Holiday Shop runs 3 days in December.

The Holiday Gift Shop is an opportunity for your children to pick out small gifts for friends and family during school hours.

To volunteer please do so under the volunteer tab and the Chirperson will contact you with specific dates and times. You may volunteer during the time your child is scheduled to shop.

Jump Rope for Heart
Chair:   ASPTO

Along with the American Heart Association, Students Jump Rope to Raise money and Awareness for Heart Disease. 

Volunteers are needed during the school day to assist Mr. Eichner facilitate the program.

Please Volunteer and you will be contacted after the class schedule is complete so can request specific times.

Ladies Night Out Committee

This committee is responsible for overseeing the success of Ladies Night Out.

Ladies Night Out and Gift Auction is the largest fundraiser of the Year.  There is Dinner, Dancing, Eating, Drinking, Raffles and a whole lotta fun with friends and families. 

Volunteers are needed to prepare for the event as well as work the night of the event.

Little Ladies Dance

The Daddy Daughter Social will give our school's families the opportunity for a special night out while allowing our daughters to feel a sense of pride in their academic community.  An evening out with their parent at their school, an environment that nurtures them and provides a sense of belonging.  We need volunteers to organize, plan, set up and execute the event.

Our Annual Plant Sale is designed for children to shop during the school day for beautiful plants, flowers and herbs.

Enjoy Applegate School's Annual School Play.  4th and 5th Graders will put on a complete production.

Volunteers are needed to assist in the planning and production of our school play.

Science/STEAM Fair

The Science/STEAM Fair is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their unique talents.

Students will have the complete support of mentors to complete their projects.

Teacher Appreciation

The Teacher Appreciation Committee organizes, decorates and brings in a beautiful lunch for our teachers and staff twice during the school year.  The Staff Welcome Lunch and the Teacher Appreciation Lunch is provided by the ASPTO nder the direction of the Chair who heads up the committee and will be looking for volunteers to make and donate specialty dishes. Please volunteer and our chair will contact you about your specific contribution.

Thanksgiving Pie Sale

You may order fresh Pies and Donuts from Battleview Orchards for your Thanksgiving Holiday Pies.

If you ordered a Thanksgiving pie or fresh donuts from our Battleview Orchards Pie Sale... you may pick up your order at Applegate School on the same day as the Student Turkey Trot for your convenience.

Volunteers are needed to distribute the pies throughout the day from 9:30-6:30. It is the same day as Turkey Trot... so if you are coming to cheer on your students, please give us an hour and help out!!  

TNT Sports
Chair:   Susan O'Connor

Grades K-2 and 3-5 will learn and play organized sports/games in this 6 class session program that runs 3:15-4:15 ne day per week. 

TNT Sports provides all of the equipmen t and instructors.

Program Tuition varies but all information on the sport and cost will be announced and a portion is donated back to Applegate School.

Volunteers are needed to check in and dismiss students and to chaperone the professionally run program.

Good Afternoon Parents,
TREP$ - Empowering Kids Through Entrepreneurship
Today our 4th and 5th grade students were introduced to an exciting new entrepreneureal program called TREP$. 
The attached document, registration and program schedule explains Applegate's after school Extracurricular Workshops  in detail. 
In short, students recieve a TREP$ workbook.  They attend 6 Worshops on Wednesdays after school from 3:15 - 4:45.  Each week the students will work on focused segments of product  development. The modules include brainstorming and streamlining their ideas, overcoming obstacles,  managing money for optimum profit, marketing, advertising and sales.
The culmination of the program will be a TREP$ Marketplace where the students will set up their own tables to display and sell their products to friends, family and our community.  The students keep all the money they make at the Marketplace.
This program is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about business by being their own boss.  This amazing experience will allow them to be creative while learning valuable entreprenureal  skills.  From design to sales, our students will be running their own companies.
Please see the detailed program and registration.  Because it is imperative that each student receive one on one attention, class size is limited and registration will be on a first come first served basis.  Registration deadline is February 3rd
